One Hand, Two Hands
by Max Lucado
Thomas Nelson (September 14, 2010)

Although Lucado has written a vast variety of books for differing age groups, this is my first experience with a children’s picture book from him. I’ve enjoyed several of his earlier adult titles which read like a story rather than a sermon or text book. Since his writing style is so engaging and interactive I look forward to this book and observing how children receive it. Thanks to Thomas Nelson’s Booksneeze Blogger Program for a review copy. (ISBN#9781400316496, 32pp, $16.99)

A Memory Between Us (Wings of Glory #2)
by Sarah Sundin
Revell (September 1, 2010)

I thoroughly enjoyed Sundin’s first Wings of Glory Novel, A Distant Melody, and look forward to this installment as well. Thanks to Revell for a review copy. (ISBN#9780800734220, 432pp, $14.99)

The Healer’s Apprentice
by Melanie Dickerson
Zonderkidz (September 3, 2010)

You can read my interview with Melanie posted on Friday. A review will be coming up shortly. Thanks to Melanie and Zonderkidz for a review copy. (ISBN#9780310721437, 272pp, $9.99)

The Last Song
by Nicholas Sparks
Grand Central Publishing (February 4, 2010)

It’s been quite a while since I’ve read Sparks but he is a wonderful writer despite the tone of his work being bittersweet. I’ve been wanting to check out the movie based on this particular story so when I spied the book I couldn’t resist purchasing a copy. (ISBN#9780446570978, 432pp, $14.99)

Lady In Waiting
by Susan Meissner
WaterBrook Press (September 7, 2010)

I have a couple of Susan’s other books around somewhere and have heard she is a wonderful author. I look forward to opening this one soon. Thanks to WaterBrook for a review copy. (ISBN#9780307458834, 352pp, $13.99)

In addition I received a finished copy of The Confirmation by Ralph Reed.

    1. Wow, that’s neat that you got to meet him. I’ve only read his books. For some reason Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA don’t rate many author tours especially big names not from the area. Blogging is great for hearing about all the cool authors other book bloggers run into or have the opportunity to meet and I get to meet quite a few authors via email when I interview them for my blog or review their books. Unfortunately I missed Diana Gabaldon’s tour here last year after Echo In the Bone came out. That’s one I wish I’d tried harder to make. Ok now sealing my lips on that topic – My comments are starting to look like posts themselves today.
