Rebeca brings us yet another touching and entertaining story featuring some of my favorite literary sisters, the Sinclairs. In this 3rd installment of her Sisters, Ink novels readers get to reconnect with all the sisters but the story focuses in on Joy and her dreams for a family. Unfortunately all is not well in dream land for Joy and Scott, at least where starting a family is concerned and worse yet her sisters don’t seem to notice or care that Joy isn’t herself. Kendra’s about to get married, the last single sister among them, Tandy is home from her honeymoon and settling in with Clay over the diner and Meg is grappling with her house full of kids and unexplained headaches that keep popping up. Joy desperately wants a baby and Scott wants his sweetheart to have her dream but she’s convinced she has to control everything and can’t settle for an alternate plan. Scott as many males do would rather avoid the doctors and explanations that Joy so adamantly chases when they find themselves struggling with not conceiving. Joy even decides she must visit the orphanage that replaced the “home†the Sinclairs adopted her from in China. What lessons and growth will come from seeing her native land and will learning something of another culture after living her life in America be an enriching experience for her? Can Joy and Scott accept that maybe they won’t have biological children or will they manage to find a way after all? Be sure and read this third book to find out, after reading the first two if you haven’t already. (ISBN#9780805446920, pp, $14.99)
